The Beach Lake Trail system near Chugiak is closed this afternoon because of a brown bear feeding on a moose carcass in the area, according to Anchorage police.

There is noting like receiving a pat on the back for a job well done. Except maybe a little cash.

Uniformed soldiers played basketball with neighborhood kids. Police officers and volunteer firefighters mingled with members of the community and served hamburgers and hot dogs.
